A Six Dollar Cup Of Coffee

Through the eyes of a Tseltal family, the film connects an indigenous coffee farmer in the Mexican region of Chiapas with the third wave coffee shops in the US city of Seattle.

Outwardly the Tseltal business model looks fine and successful, but as the film delves deeper, farmers' abject struggle in the harsh global coffee market start coming to fore. On one hand, prices have crashed dramatically and, on the other, a South American farm plague is threatening to wipe out coffee from the continent.

Will the fragile coffee farmers be able to weather these storms?
